Giada De Laurentiis' House, Pacific Palisades, California

Celebrity chef Giada de Laurentiis recently scooped up a new Pacific Palisades pad, but right now it reads a little more sushi than spaghetti.

 This room overlooks the pool. It needs that Giada in Capri vibe. Something more like this:

This 1958 "bungalow" is listed for $4.86 million and has 3,610 square feet, and has 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, and a pretty snazzy guesthouse:

Word is that this house is likely for a friend or relative since Giada already has a larger home nearby in the Riviera neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.

That brings me to another celebrity house listing in which the celebrity doesn't actually live. This one belongs to Priscilla Presley and was home to her mother Ann Wagner-Beaulieu.

Like Giada's new property, it centers on the pool:

Instead of sushi or spaghetti, it's the room equivalent of a peanut butter & jelly sandwich...

This 1940's Brentwood ranch was listed for $3.65 million and sold for $3.8 million. It has 2,500 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Priscilla bought it for $170,000 in 1976. Like Giada, she lives near the property in a larger Mediterranean style home in Beverly Hills.
